LOCATION
120 kms south to Port Blair - the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
ACCESS
Boat services connecting Port Blair and Hut Bay(the entry point of Little Andaman Island) are available daily . The journey takes 6.00 Hrs from Port Blair to Hut Bay. Andaman and Nicobar Islands Forest Plantation Development Corporation Limited (ANIFPDCL) organizes package tour to the Island from Port Blair.

PEOPLE
The aboriginal tribes of the Islands, Nicobarese and onges live in this island alongwith settlers from erstwhile East Pakistan and other places.
ATTRACTIONS
Little Andaman Island offers a perfect mix of white sandy beaches, bewitching waterfalls, boating through the creeks, exciting elephant safari, elephant lumbering, elephant calves training, surfing etc. All the places of tourist interest is approachable by the road, leading northwards from the Hut Bay by Jetty.
BEACHES
Butler Bay (14 Kms. From the Hut Bay Jetty). A beautiful beach suitable for sun basking, coral viewing, surfing etc. Tourist huts is available right on the seashore flanked by the coconut plantation. Netaji Nagar Beach, 11 Kms from the Hut Bay Jetty this white sandy beach is suitable for sun basking.
WATERFALLS
White Surf: 6.5 Km from the Hut Bay Jetty, this eaterfall in the midst of the evergreen rainforest is an ideal pic-nic spot. Whisper Wave: 25 Kms from the Hut Bay Jetty this waterfall is also in the midst of the jungle. Journey to this waterfall includes 4 Kms. Trekking through the forest.
ELEPHANT SAFARI
ANIFPDCL, who have about 31 elephants in this Island, organize elephant safari through the jungle near to the White Surf waterfall. Well experienced and tamed elephants is engaged for this purpose. One can really enjoy the exciting ride, sitting on the back of the mighty and friendly elephant.
ELEPHANT LUMBERING AND TRAINING CAMP
One can view the elephant lumbering activities inside the forest. Also there is camps where elephant calves is trained in lumbering activities. This can be seen with the help of ANIFPDCL.
BOATING THROUGH THE CREEK
Boating facility has been provided by ANIFPDCL in the creek near to the Butler Bay beach resort. It helps one to closely view the natural vegetation on both sides of the creek, flora and fauna including hawabill and Nicobari pigeon.
CORAL VIEWING AND SURFING
The northern side of the Butler Bay beach is popular surfing site. Corals is available on the nearby areas. Tourists have to carry necessary equipments alongwith them for the above puroses.
OIL PALM PLANTATION
Little Andaman is famous for its Red Oil Palm plantation run by ANIFPDCL(11 Kms. From the Jetty). The plantation is spread over an area of 1593 hects. A factory for extraction of palm oil is also run by the ANIFPDCL. Tourist can visit the plantation as well as the the factory and see the different stages of oil palm fruit production and oil extraction here.
R.K.PUR DAM
The R.K.Pur earthan Dam-18.42 Km from Hut Bay and 2.42 Km from R.K.Pur Bazar, well connected by road. Transportation: Regular Bus services are available up to the dam and Auto, Taxi and Jeep are also available at the reasonable rate.
V.N.DAM
The Vishnu Nallah DAM is 25.2 Km from Hut Bay and 5.2 Km from Rabindra Nagar Junction, connected by road.Transportation: Regular transportation is not available upto dam, But Auto, Taxi and Jeep are available at reasonal rate. To visit this Dam perior intimation/permission has to be obtained from the APWD Authority, M.I.D.,A.P.W.D., Hut Bay or R.K.Pur to un-lock the gate to visit inside the Dam.
TOURIST TRANSPORT AND ACCOMMODATION
Transport and accommodation available with ANIFPDCL (Room tariff Rs.150 - 240 per bed in guest house and Rs.100 - 200 per head in the huts/cottages at seashore). It is recommended that the availability of rooms may be checked up from the ANIFPDCL office at Port Blair before proceeding to Hut Bay. Food: Homely food is available at the Guest house of ANIFPDCL near to Hut Bay and Restaurant at Butler Bay Beach Resort. Tasty tender "king Coconuts" is profusely available on the Island for quenching the thirst.
